Digital Video Editing
I see the ways in which digital video editing would be great for middle and high school kids but I'm still trying to wrap my head around using this with elementary school students. As I am trying to get a better grasp on this, amazingly I have a teacher who comes to me and says, " I want to learn something new.. what's new in our technology closet that I haven't done yet?" After thinking for a second I say," yeah we have these new FLIP cameras.. let's get together and plan something for using them with your students." The great thing is this... this is going to force me to come up with something to do with video editing... I'm up for the challenge for sure!! :)

Good luck! What grade does the teacher teach? Let us know what you do!
ReplyDeleteStudents in middle school will eat this up. They love to video tape and edit. Just making sure that they sit still and learn how to plan it out before they do it. If not you will end up doing all the work. The treatment and planning portion really gets them to think and use their higher level thinking skills. They will hopefully start to be independent learners.
ReplyDeleteLeon.. I'd love to see your middle school kids become a famous composer or musician and have others video tape their trip back in the "time machine". Wouldn't that be cool???
